The hotel in Sárvár won a ‘Signum Virtutis’ award in both the Hotel & Resorts and Spa categories

For the third time in a row, the Spirit Hotel Thermal Spa***** Superior of Sárvár won the prestigious ‘Signum Virtutis’ award at the Seven Stars Luxury Hospitality and Lifestyle Awards. This year, just as in the previous year, the jury of the most outstanding luxury brands and services of the worldwide catering, hotel, travel and service sector awarded the highest accolades to the Spirit Hotel, in the ‘Hotel & Resorts’ and ‘Spa’ categories. The award secures a spot for the hotel established in Sárvár in the exclusive club of the world’s unique premium brands and services.

When awarding the accolades established in 2013, one of the basic considerations of the jury was that the establishment in question should be at least a five-star hotel, providing the highest level of quality in both its basic and additional services. As this unique recognition can only be earned by the finest of establishments, the “Signum Virtutis” award has a great significance, not just for the hotel in question, but for the country’s image as well, and can contribute to increasing Hungary’s currency and attractiveness as a tourist destination throughout the world.


András Kaisinger, managing director of the Spirit Hotel, was pleased by the prestigious recognition as well as by the fact that they’ve won the award for three years in a row, which means that including this year’s achievements, the hotel has a total of five “Signum Virtutis” awards. “This is an extraordinary and highly important evaluation for us that shows how we are capable of satisfying the demands of our guests at a lastingly high level and that both the general public and the trade appreciate our efforts. The reason for this is that the award isn’t merely a reflection of the opinion of an elite group, but also the feedback of our guests, whose personal evaluations have a great deal of significance in shaping the opinion of the jury.” According to András Kaisinger, beyond the unique balance of the natural and constructed environment, the top quality spa and hotel services and the Spirit team's high level of dedication and professional knowledge as well as the professional preventive health treatments are what make the hotel truly successful.

This further increases the Spirit Hotel’s range of international and domestic recognitions, first winning the Best Destination Spa award at the European Health & Spa Awards just two years after opening the establishment in 2010. This was followed by the Hungarian Product Grand Prix Award in 2014 and the Golden Sun award for the best five-star conference hotel in Hungary and the Best Product Innovation award for the mySPIRIT skincare products at the European Health & Spa Awards in 2015 – the equivalent of the Oscars of the Europe wellness establishments. Additionally, the Spirit Hotel won the prestigious “Spa Hotel of the Year” award on three occasions at the World Travel Awards and the ‘Hotel of the Year’ award from the Hungarian Hotel and Restaurant Association. For years, the Gault&Millau restaurant guide – considered to be the greatest rival of the Michelin guide – has listed the Spirit Hotel of Sárvár as the finest wellness hotel of the country.
