Expertise of the staff is one of the corner stones of the Spirit Hotel’s success, therefore it takes every opportunity to improve the quality of adequate trainings and re-trainings. From 2011 Spirit Hotel Thermal Spa plays an active role in the European Credit Transfer System for Vocational Education and Training on the field of tourism and catering within the framework of the ECVET projects.
Objective of the ECVET, part of the Leonardo da Vinci program, which works within the framework of the Life- long learning program of the European Union is to set up a vocational training model – similar to the tertiary education program in place – which makes it possible to convert all knowledge, skills and competences gained by the students in one of the countries of the Union into compatible grades in an other member country.
Flexibility and mobility of workforce is significant on the field of tourism and catering, which fields ensure more than 7 million work places across Europe, therefore it is important to have a system in which the skills can be consistently evaluated and followed. The project will end in autumn 2011, the final conference will be held in Vienna on October 13-15, 2011.
